I just went for a ride along Jomtien Beach. It is certainly the busiest I've seen mid week in a long time.

The amount of tourist in jomtien are about the same all year round.

A few more at Christmas and local holidays.

As for mid week, two factors here.

First is, school children on day trips to the beach 10 or so buses along the beach

Loads of kids all having a great day out.( good to see, not sure if this is today)

Second is the traffic congestion you see, this can give the impression it's busy

What has happened in Jomtien is the baht buses are parking on mass on the corner

Opposite the KFC causing all sorts of double and treble parking

a total mess for the last year, a real nightmare at the weekends.

Wish the police would move them on a bit or at least keep single file.

They dont wish to go back to Pattaya empty because of the rising fuel costs

In Thailand so they stay put until the have a few fares.

I would say no more people in jomtien than the norm.

Weekends in Jomtien are always busy, loads of Thai families coming down

from BKK for the day, also some jet ski events plus other functions adding to the numbers.

I Mailed a friend who as a place on Soi Buakao & they said still quiet !!!

Starting to build up. Reckon full swing by start of November.

More people currently here that usual this time of year. Maybe the Phuket effect.

I prefer the low season to be honest.
