Damaged Floor

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a damaged floor in my condo, i'm guessing its teak with a varnish finish. Is there a product out there to cover up some deep scratches and general wear and tear, or should I call in a specialist? what would one cost?

Totally useless at DIY.

thanks in advance

My experience with wood flooring when there is a problem like you have is to re-sand, re-varnish. The price for somebody to take care of that will depend on the sq meter but you can probably find someone/business not too expensive depending your location.

Deep scratches, until I know the length depth and width I cant comment, resanding and revarnishing may not be an option.

May well be easier and cheaper just to replace the damaged parts, is it T&G panels or parquet?
