Selling Diamonds In Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

My girlfriend and I have been given a diamond, as an early wedding present. The wedding already seems more expensive than we originally thought and now we are thinking cash may be of more use. We are not definitely sure we will sell but want to see what are options are.

Cheers,

A diamond or a diamond ring. What size is the diamond. Find a good jewelry store and have it looked at and see what they say.

I sold a diamond ring on thailand craigslist before. Got a better price than a jewelry shop would've have given me, and the buyer also saved money at the same time.

Thanks for the suggestions. The stone is about 4mm across and is not mounted, in a ring etc. Craigslist would be a good idea but we need to get an idea of the value first.

Cheers

Take it to a few of the better dealers in town and get more information about it. A listing on craigslist saying that is 4mm across will not get you what you want. Any jeweler can tell you the cut and carat weight. Most should also give you a grading on clarity. Even better they can see if it has an etching, which can also track it back to where it came from.

oh, and of course they can give you a good idea on price.....

good luck
