Old Emails On Netscape

I want to transfer my old Netscape mails to a program which is still supported.

The benfit of Netscape is all the info is on my hard disk

Idealy in one bunch. And a dream would be to have this sorted per email adr. or at least searchable.

Any chance ?

very interesting, thanks! Never heard of Thunderbird. Could that mean that sooner or later I will have another unsupported mail program??

My Mac runs Windows too, would it make any sense to transfer the data into another word processing program ( Mac or Windows ) ?

It's for archival purposes only, so no mailing function is required.

I'm only an ignorant user but should it not possible to program a command which tells the whole Netscape archive to

- open each and everyone email

- batch copy all of them

- paste into a word document

Doable?
