Have searched for this but options are to wade through numerous threads.

Is the one day grace still in operation ??

Or are you hit for the standard 500 baht ?? Is the passport marked up as an overstayer ??

Looks like I will overstay by 8 hours or so ??

At the airport you are allowed one day overstay without a fine.

If you go two days or longer then the first day is then charged.

Thank you-appreciated.

Passport is marked for overstay, but doesn't have consequences.

Am sure you're correct, but if no potential consequences at any time, than there is no point in marking it in the first case.

You can get a new visa and re-enter without any problem.

But if can be a problem in entering another country than Thailand, especially if you are not an European. Other countries immigration oficers also check a passport and might not like an overstay.

So there are potential consequences !!

Thanks for your input.
