So I went today, as have been doing so for the last four plus years. Usually Nonthaburi Immigration is very quite...however today it was packed...guess due to been closed last Friday and Yesterday...silly me forgot about the holiday. Also there appeared to be many Burmese there...probably the registration thing.

Anyway after about 15 minutes queuing I hand in my TM47 form and passport...I was then asked for a copy of my passport ID page. I can never remember been asked for this before, nor could another guy who was next to me.

Turns out that they now require a copy of your Passport ID page when doing the 90 Day Report............. the other guy was also asked to put his phone number on the copy of the Passport ID Page. Later I was told that this was a new rule.

Just a HEADS UP.

was always a requirement, however Nonthaburi never really asked for it, but then the SBAC girls were there and it started again.

Did mine in Pattaya this morning and nothing had changed, no proof address no copies of anything other than the tm47, was busy though my usual 5 min visit turned into half an hour.

Even by mail reporting they want copy of front page of passport, copy of visa page, copy of last entry stamp page and copy of both sides of arrival/departure card, and as you say phone number also please.

Take a moment and think why that might be.

KK Imm told me last week it's a new requirement for their office.

Maybe it had something to do with being overwhelmed with customers right after the recent holidays...needed the passport ID to confirm entries into their database "after" processing the 90 day reporting form....or maybe they just needed more paperwork to recycle/sell. Almost 3 years of doing in-person 90 day reporting at the old Bangkok Immigration Office (Suan Plu) and the new one at Chaing Wattana and I have never been asked for a copy of my passport ID page. You hand them your passport with last 90 day reporting receipt and your current 90 day reporting form...they look at it, stamp it, enter the reporting info in the computer, and hand you back your passport with new 90 day reporting receipt. But hey, my next 90 day report ain't due till late August so maybe they will ask for a copy of the passport ID page then. I'm no longer surprised to see Thai immigration offices across the country doing different things/having different policies/rules. TIT.

It's been a requirement at Chiang Mai immigration for a few years now. Passport photo page and last permission to stay page.

In Nongkhai never a problem and never a copy of whatever but they want your mobile phone number.

But next week I will be there for my 90 days and may be......

And in August I will be there for my retirement extension "new style". I cross my fingers....

I agree. I have found that apart from the 'money' related items I have to give the same copies as I do for my annual extension

I always take copy of Last extension stamp and photo page from Passport, and copy of page from my Yellow Book, before I used to get them back, but as stated when the Internship girls were there, they kept all of them.

Let me give JAS21 kudos for the heads up on Nonthaburi Immigration and the passport picture page copy needed for the 90 day report submission.

Had it scheduled for this AM and as he said, very crowded but got through in fine style when the immigration helper saw I had my passport copy in hand so got booted to the head of the line. Glad he gave the heads up.

Again, thanks for the timely advice.
