For many of us who LIVE in Thailand and are use to using wi-fi when sipping on our favorite coffee, it seems strange to us that Starbucks charges for the use of wi-fi in their cafes; whereas, in other coffee shops such as Coffee World, they do not. -Even in the USA (the birth place of Starbucks), wi-fi is free. I have written to Starbucks in Bangkok and they say they have to pay for the service; (duh, so do the other shops that offer it for free). So if you are a Starbucks coffee drinker it may help to voice your concern about this to:

Right now I avoid Starbucks when I want to connect to wi-fi since I feel I should not have this added cost. It seems that their marketing team is not aware that many customers are not happy with the cost of wi-fi at their stores in Thailand.

I think they are smart they dont want people sipping one cup of coffee and using wireless all day there to work.

Starbucks in your city in America is free? I remember a few years back in Houston, they charged to use wi-fi.
