Orthopaedic Ankle And Foot Specialist-Please Help Me Find One

Featured Replies

Hello everyone,

I broke my leg close to the ankle and it hasnt been healing as quickly as I had hoped. The doctor back in Farangland said that I should see an orthopaedic specialist that specializes in ankle and foot. I flew out to Thailand because I dont have insurance, but I heard that I can get good treatment in Bangkok. Please let me know if you know of such a specialist and where I can go. I thank you for your help.

Yes, the Orthopedics Department at Bangpakok 9 International Hospital on Rama 2 Road is excellent. They are one of the best in the country and speak fluent English as it's an international hospital. Their website is being revamped but you can get their contact details http://www.bangpakokhospital.com/

Hope it goes well...

This doctor was recommended to me. His credentials are excellent. He has a clinic at Bumrungrad Hospital in Bangkok only on Saturdays.

Talking through personal experience Dr. Phisit at Siri Raj hospital was excellent. This is a government hospital so it is not very expensive compared to the likes of Bumrungrad.

I'd agree with Siriraj Hospital. Can't remember the names of the doctors I saw, but I had great help and support from the people at Siriraj, and as a government hospital, not particularly expensive. Just need some patience as being a public and teaching hospital (affiliated with Mahidol University), there are often long lines of people.

I was there two or three years ago after I'd had major foot surgery back in North America, and arrived in Bangkok on crutches.
