I go into 7-11 to buy a bar of soap for showering/washing my hands. I see the box for Asepsos, and the only English on the box says: "antibacterial soap." Great! I open the box back at my apt. and on the bar of soap, printed in perfect English: "For prickly heat and skin infections" with a slightly ominous looking safety symbol above the text...Is this stuff safe to use daily for showering/washing hands?

yes yes. My wife gave me this Asepso soap when i had skin rashes which she thought its some kinds of skin infection. It works though the smell was intolerable. Make sure you get the right type. The box is black with yellow and red stripes and the soap is green.

I've used Asepso now and then, it's OK, and I don't find the smell bad at all. Perhaps my nose has just gone TU from the wife cooking up pladek and peppers in the kitchen.

Intolerable??? You must have an extremely sensitive nose. I've used all the different varieties at some point and never noticed any strong smell. The soaps that do set my nostrils twitching are some of the perfumed varieties of some of the more expensive brands. Can't remember which but there's one that makes me sneeze just opening the pack. I use the Asepso Sport regularly, no problems.
