Connecting To Thaivisa Forum

Featured Replies

Lately i have had problems connecting to Phuket forum, this morning after many attempts

i cannot connect to Phuket forum or the Thaivisa support desk, other forum sites i have no

problem connecting to, has anyone else had this problem

Tried it for you but opened up no problem though ??

To Thaivisa-why cant a responder reply directly to the OP of a thread ?? Noticed it previously ??

I had problems last week , I could open all pages except Thaivisa the only way i could read the forum was to access through a proxy. The problem corrected itself and all is okay now.

when I tried to connect I kept receiving 'error 100.'

would be interested to know why this was.

I wasn't able to connect to the thaivisa.com this morning. The forum page would slowly begin to load, and then stop. After connecting to my VPN server in Japan, it loaded without a problem.

I often find that TV is incredibly slow to load. Today is a good example.

I have sites in Europe and the US that load much faster, and some of them are generated by Wordpress and Joomla, which are both known for being quite slow.

I've replied to several of these threads across the forum.

Our understanding is there is a gateway issue, I've not had problems with Thaivisa but with facebook. Others have had problems with gmail.

Turn off your modem and turn it back on (or reset your IP address in your modem) - this should resolve the inability to connect to Thaivisa

Also, we turned off the ability to quote the OP since too many posters would quote the OP over and over and over again in a thread, filling it up. Copy paste from the OP and use the quote button if there are points in the OP you must address specifically.

Sometimes it gets stuck on the 'adclick' thing, and won't go any further. That's one thing I can't stand with websites, when all the ads load super fast, then you wait a minute for the content of the site to show up. Priorities I guess.

This is my third go at putting a post in every time I go into TV the Email notifier slow's then stop's, then the hole thing come's to a stand still. The only way to get it up and running again is to click into any other web site and up it start's. Only to stop as usual when I try to get into TV again. Lately I've stopped even looking in it. Pity as there some interesting bit's on TV some time's.

Which browser are you using? I find IE8 is very bad with the above. FF 5, Chrome and IE9 I don't see the delay.

TRUE can be really bad at times. If I access ThaiVisa without using TRUE proxy, it usually gets stuck when connecting to static.thaivisa.com or ajax.googleapis.com; sub-domains usually. Images don't load and many other site functions become unavailable. This doesn't happen all the time, but it occurs quite often. Therefore, I usually switch on the proxy server whenever I visit.

I have repeatedly complained to George about this. The issue is the gateway. That is why a vpn works wonders with TV. The folks in BKK are so dang worried about what we say, EVERYTHING is being scrutinized prior to leaving LOS.

The new iOS app that TV is getting will not fix this issue. It is not TV, it is BKK, period. Big Brother working wonders here.
