Irt Deadliest Roads

Featured Replies

If you happen to have cable and can watch the History channel suggest you watch IRT Deadliest Roads. Absolutely amazing. Mixture of laughter and white knuckles.

ilive in thailand and work in saudi arabia and i can honestly say that coming back to thailand on leave after a spell braving the utter lunacy of the saudi roads is a breath of fresh air. thai roads and drivers just ain't that bad IMHO....

If one is careful to observe universal driving character worldwide, you'll find that the illogical and insane is quite homogenous.

Perhaps the human being and motored vehicles weren't meant to be.

My wife and I lived in Bahrain for a time. The driving there was insane. Funny thing is though, my wife drove there all the time but she won't in Thailand.

I believe your observation goes well beyond the control of a vehicle.

IRT Deadliest Roads. Ok, I see this as entertainment only, I don't trust the continuity of the filming or the danger levels being above and beyond what one would think driving in India would be like. As for the "wheels on the edge" bull shit shots.

If the production team of IRT 'Deadliest Roads' was to make a 'Driving in Paradise' show about Thai roads do you think it would be any less dramatic. I hear there next production is called; 'Deadliest Tea Shops in Devon'

Thing is, I do think they COULD have a great series, if they would stop the dumbing down and bull shit over dramatization.

One last thing; do the drivers in the program ever stop bitching….I keep watching only so I don't miss the episode when that one driver, (you know the one if you watch) gets a kicking from his Indian Co-driver who has to sit there listening to all this abuse about his fellow countrymen, no-stop, Dam-it, I want to kick his whinging ass over the side of the road. I would go Pay-per-view when they air that episode.

Foot note;as I was about to post this, an advert for the show came on the telly, The narrator said, "Dave has to stop and make some urgent repairs" all said in the same way a commentator would describe what's happening at a 'Russian roulette throw down…………."Dave puts the gun to his head for the 4th time, surely his luck must haverun out"
