Web Cam Doesnt Work On Skype Anymore

Featured Replies

From one day to the other, skype doesn't load my picture anymore when activating video. I checked Skype troubleshoot and was advised to download a new webcam driver? Alternativley I should check USB connection but my web cam is built into my laptop. I checked my computer settings and it shows webcam ok.

Any advise before I go though uninstalling and downloading a driver?

Try disabling and then re-enabling the webcam, could be enough.

Try a system restore to a time when it worked.

Otherwise un-install (with delete driver checked) and re-download the driver.

Wow, thanks a mill Crossy! Just tried your first sugg and it worked. I did have a few problems with windows 7 and Internet explorer lately, maybe it has to do with that?

Wow! No one blamed Microsoft! (yet)

Webcam might be in use by other application such as webcam config or something.
