Quick Question About Photographs (Uk Family Visit Visa)

Recommended Posts

Hi,

just a quick one,

does my wife need to get a photograph done to take with her as well as the one they will take during the biometrics process?

This might seem obvious but there's guidance regarding what kind of photos to submit and further mention of a digital photo being taken during the visit to the VFS to submit the application.

:)

Hi Biff,

This was from the VFS site under "You should remember to bring the following with you when you attend the visa application centre":-

1 recent passport-sized (45mm high x 35mm wide) colour photograph of yourself. The photograph should be:
Taken against a light grey or cream background. It should be in sharp focus, clear and of good quality, free from shadows.
Printed on normal photographic paper.
Taken with nothing covering the face, without sunglasses or tinted spectacles, or a head covering unless worn for religious or medical reasons. The subject should have their mouth closed (and not smile, frown or raise eyebrows) and the applicant should be facing forward, looking straight ahead.
The photograph should be a recent true likeness and taken within the last 6 months

Also gives a link to the UKBA photo guidance :- http://www.ukvisas.gov.uk/resources/en/docs/12160810/Photoguide

Hope this helps

Cheers
