Any suggestions for a good bar in Bang Saen? Looking for a place that has some live music, (with opportunity for guests to sing on stage - g/f likes to sing), decent pool tables, Thai food and cool beers. A place frequented by farangs is desirable but not a go-go bar. Thanks all.

There's a place halfway down the beach road there that has most of what you want, can't rememebr the name, went there a while back. Very Thai, with live Thai music and lots of Somchais who like to stare, and giggle like "Bevis and Butthead" Huh Huh Huh Huh!!

Good for a beer or two that's it. Wouldn't want to be there late when the Somchais start getting drunk!!!

Calling it a good bar may be stretching it but most of the expats hang out at Nuan's Corner, I think. Coming down the beach road from Bang Saen, the road will make a 90 degree left. Bar is about 100m on the right. There are some night spots further down on the right near the roundabout with live music. Ain't much.
