OO generally works best saving in Word format if you select Word97 type.

Ok, I selected 2000xp....so wonder if this could be issue with above comment....but I doubt it cos it saved fine and worked initially until copied to different computer.

Sounds like it is linked to the image rather than embedding it into the document. Not familiar with OO and how to make sure it embeds the image.
