Korat Zoo

Featured Replies

I'm doing the Mukdahan to Bangkok trip again and as I like

a wee look at the places in between I have decided to stop

in Korat for a day or two and let my boys have a gander at

the zoo.

Can any of you guys suggest a good hotel or resort which is

reasonably close to the zoo?

The Korat zoo is hugh, recommend renting one of their golf carts to get around.

I don't think I've ever met a zoo named Hugh before . . . . :D .

There is also a large water park next to the zoo, has a couple of slides and is good for cooling off.

If you see many coaches parked outside though, give it a miss as it will be packed.

Another good piece of advice. Thanks for that.

we took our boys there couple of months back and they loved it.

would recommend hiring a buggy for definite, it is large and walking or bicycling is tiring and sweaty.

eat before or after as the food available inside is rubbish.

if you've a car and are driving to the zoo just stay in town it's not far to the zoo. i'd recommend the hotel a couple of doors up from the Walrus pub in town, steve the Walrus owner will point it out to you, sorry but i forget the name of it and the street it's on and can only offer the Walrus as a landmark.

^ More good tips. Thanks, GooEng!

no bother, i'd offer you some tips about which football team to support, but it would only come out that i'm an aberdeen supporter
