Hi

I came here on a 1 year business visa that I obtained in Australia. This was obtained as I have company there and wished to be constantly back and forth to Thailand as I am. What are the restrictions on what I can and cannot do while here in Thailand. The majority of my work is computer (internet) based and involves travelling to events in different countries in SE Asia that happen almost monthly and then putting that onto the net, often from where I stay in Thailand.

I am Australian, my partner is Japanese and we are afer 50 and mid thirties respectively.

Your appalling English is the giveaway.

This is obviously a genuine post from an Australian.

But keep 'em coming.

Enables me to reply without upsetting serious posers posters such as SBK.

SALN. I know this poster. He is a NATURALIZED Australian. Born and Bred in ENGLAND. Moved to OZ in his late 30's :o:D:D

Dear me, this is my inaugural, virgin like posting and immediately I am confronted by comedians. All does not look good in Baghdad.

Hi -

When you enter Thailand, you will receive a 90 day entry permit. You can basically do anything you wish here, as a transient who is just "passing through." If your passport shows a pattern of continual travel throughout the region, Thailand will pretty much ignore you.

About the only way to get in trouble for abusing your status is to import bulk quantities of something, set up an ad-hoc "shop", and start trying to sell retail. That would probably bring "heat" down on you.

I'm not sure just what it was that you were concerned about - what sort of activity?

Cheers!
