I'm in China right now and my wife wants bring back a popular machine that is similar to a blender that also cooks grains and beans. I know I can buy oatmeal at Rimping for 45B 500g but I was wondering if I can buy oats in bulk for a lot cheaper? In China, I can buy oats for about 35B a KG. I would prefer getting it in CM if the price was close enough.

Thanks WTK. They're 20 minutes from me so I'll gave them a look-see. I guess 1 reply out of 3 is good for TV CM.

No, you got 3 replys but only 1 was very helpful :D

As a matter of interest, how much do want to buy ? and for what reason ? i mean there's only so much porridge one can eat :o

On the same line of inquiry, can I buy sesame seeds but in smaller quantities at main local market along the river? I know I can buy various other nuts but never paid attention to sesame seeds. The machine I am bringing can make tahini paste too.

But do you know where they're from?

Problem i have there is that much produce seems to have only been packaged in thailand, but grown in other countries. So we have no idea of its history.

For example, the oats in question, if they're from america (and that was the usual answer when i asked about products there), how can we know they weren't genetically modified?

I rightly or wrongly suspect much of their produce is american, and because of an absence of labeling information, cannot trust they're not made by nature alone.
