We have an astro box but i need a 10' sat dish to get astro.

needing it urgently

Where are you?

I'm between Kanchanaburi and Suphanburi and get an excellent picture with a 6 foot dish. I got the same strength signal using a standard True sized dish but went for the 6 footer as it was the same price.

Guessing you're further north than I am.

You probably made a good move getting the larger dish to start with, I started off with the 70 cm standard True size, here on Samui, but switched to 90 cm, and rarely a problem except during the heaviest of rains... We debated about 120 cm size, but the local installer thought the 90 cm would be OK, he was right!

The further north one is, the bigger the dish, would help & give great reception...

Sorry cannot help OP where to purchase, the size he /she needs, but it should not be too hard to find, if you check your local satellite people....

It sounds like you are really on the edges of the footprint for Measat?

When you buy a 10ft dish make sure it is solid and designed for Ku band signals,

not a c-band mesh dish

I am in ban phe rayong province 1 hour east of pattaya. Do u think a 1.2m solid dish wud do the trick???

Unfortunately none of the Measat footprint maps show enough detail

to really judge the dish size you need. :bah:

But from what others have posted here the signal is quite good up to Bangkok,

and you are south of there.

That said, the bigger the better, to avoid rain fade.

You will probably need to contact JSat, one of our sponsors, for advice.

You are alot further south than I am so I think the 10ft dish is overkill as my 6 footer is fine.

Agree with Astral, try and get a solid dish. Mine is mesh and will lose the signal in very heavy rain before a solid one does.

"This site has 10ft Dish listed http://www.mastersatcom.com both fixed and move. And this one http://www.siamdst.com/onlineshop.htm and this onehttp://www.eldsat.com last one in English other two are Thai. I just found them on Google."

Sorry forgot to mention http://www.jsat.tv/ it just they don't have an on line part web site, only packages listed. They should be able provide advise on your location and the correct dish to purchase.
