Subutex Training?

Featured Replies

Hi guys, im fairly new to this forum, been posting here and there, giving my advice best i can.

I'm currently a pharmacy technician, im nationally certified so my drug knowledge is pretty high.

I was curious, do i need to be a doctor to go through subutex training? To go through the course to dispense this medication?

Im guessing so since you're prescribing medication to someone. Someone please help me? Thanks.

From a MIMS search, it looks like this drug is not available in Thailand. Where it is available in the region, it is listed as a "prescription only" drug which will limit the use to registered physicians only.

In many countries it is even more tightly controlled than that, i.e. treated in the same class as narcotics.

I don't think any country would allow you to dispense this except by physician prescription.

And I think you'd have all sorts of problems getting licenced as a pharamcist in Thailand..starting with the licensing exams being all in Thai.
