I am coming over to Thailand in December for a month. I would like to help my Thai girlfriend get a UK holiday visa.

Can someone tell me if:

1) We need to make an appointment at the embassy?

2) What dates and times the embassy is open over Christmas and New Year.

British Embassy at Bangkok

The Visa Section is open to the public at the following times:

Monday – Thursday: 0730 – 0930

Friday: 0730 – 1030

The Consular Section is open to the public at the following times:

Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 1100 and 1300 – 1530

Friday: 0800 – 1200

Notarial Services:

Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 1100 and 1300 – 1530

Friday: 0800 – 1200

All other Sections are open to the public at the following times:

Monday – Thursday: 0800 – 1200 and 1245 – 1630

Friday: 0800 - 1300
