BKKDUDE Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 I am arriving from Had yai at 12:45 Pm, is there a way to go directly to Udon thani by land transport? I don't want to wait until morning to catch another from from Bkk-Udon. Is it possible?
Stjohnm Posted September 29, 2011 Posted September 29, 2011 Can't see why you'd have to wait 24 hours Nok have flights at 17.00 & 19.00 from Don Meung TG have a 13.55 & an 18.05 from Swampy. On the 1st Nok's evening Flights leave at 18.35 & 20.35 & TG have flights at 15.40 & 19.55. But if you want to spend 10 hours on a train head to Hua Lampong or you can catch a bus from the northern bus Terminal @ Mo Chit

longstebe Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 just found this. http://www.sawadee.com/transfer/bus-isan.htm
afarang Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 just found this. http://www.sawadee.c...er/bus-isan.htm Sorry ,but I suspect this timetable is ONLY for The Transport Company ( 99 and 999 buses)It appears to have no listings for ANY of the private operators. Just one example - there over 70 V.I.P.services daily to Khon Kaen from Mochit. None are listed. Nakhonchai Air has about 32 V.I.P.departures , both ends daily. The O.P. may be interested ,Nakhonchai s last service to K.K., departs Mochit at 00.30. .If he cannot find a direct service to Udon at that time, an option is to go to K.K. ,and then catch a bus from K.K. to Udon, upon arrival at K.K.. bdenner Posted September 30, 2011 Posted September 30, 2011 Check the train time tables, they run every few hours and most stop at Don Muang (or did when it was International) traveling both North and South.

Sorry .not quite every few hours . Only 4 trains a day, an ordinary departs Hua Lumphong at 17.15, a D.R.C. at 18.35,an Express at 20.00,and a Rapid at 20 45.They all do stop at Samsen and Don Muang.
