Alprazolam/Xanax Hospital

Featured Replies

Hi

any info on hospitals near bang kapi that can help with panic attacks/anxiety disorders would be greatly appreciated (or anywhere in bkk

thank you

You may be better off trying to find someone in Bangkok. I'm not sure how the anxiety is affecting you, but I suffered badly from stress-related anxiety, and my experience was that they gave me lots of drugs (Lexapro and Xanax) and advised me not to drink coffee, which didn't help much at all. I would be very interested if you do managed to get treated well.

Be sure to get a prescription here in Thailand. I believe those drugs are controlled.

Worse, they probably advised you not to drink alcohol! :bah:

Yes, they are strictly controlled drugs and also addictive. There are other, non-addictive alternatives that often help with panic disorder.

I don't think you'll find a doctor experiences in management of panic disorder/GAD in the Bang Kapi area. Your best bet is Masoram Hospital, which is a dedicated private psych hosp with the widest range of expertise.

Try one of these docs there. Both are US trained with specialization in mood disorders:

As you may know, therapy (CBT) either alone or in conjunction with medication gives the best results for panic disorders, medication alone is not an optimal approach. anxiety disorders respond best to a mixture of therapy and medication.
