First It Was A Really Runny Nose, Cough And Now Sharp Body Pains And Aches All Over.

Featured Replies

About 2 months ago I developed some kind of cough which was followed by an extremely runny nose and sneezing. I just thought it was some cold.

After about a couple weeks the runny nose and cough stopped but then I started to have these sharp pains and aches all over my body. Like a bug was still there but not gone.

So I took about 3-4 boxes of Azithromyzin, thinking it was some throat bacterial infection. Didn't work!

What is wrong with me? I think I might have this happen a couple times over the years but it eventually went away. Only this time the sharp pains and aches are worse than ever.

What could it be???

You do need to go to a doctor, but your condition sounds roughly familiar to me from a friend' story.

He had some pretty bad flu-like symptoms for almost a month; the hospital told him he just had a cold. Later in the month he also developed shooting pains in his upper arms and shoulders.

Turned out he had had mononucleosis and a piggyback virus which is apparently associated had started eating the nerves in his arms! When he was finally properly diagnosed, he was also nearly dead from pneumonia and various organ damage to liver and spleen. If there's even a chance your condition is similar, get to a doctor!

It could be any number of things. You need to see a doctor and have a blood count done. This will indicate whether or not there is a bacterial infection present. If not, additional blood tests may be indicated. Don't try any other self treatments ,it will just cause more problems down the line.
