I'm currently out-of-country, but talk with my wife twice a day via Skype. She (and apparently everyone in our village) is raving about the Nagas "from Lao" that are appearing in the countryside, at night. These appear as some kind of lights that have shape... I know about the Naga Fireballs that people have witnessed along the Mekong this time of year, but does anyone have any info on this current excitement?

Tomorrow is 'Awk Phansa' day so I imagine that's the reason for such excitement. Awk Phansa marks the end of Buddhist lent so there are lots of fireworks and various displays around the country. Along the Mekong there will be lots of 'naga' wink.gif
