the naked body has always been seen as an art form. be it female or male.

that statue of the guy with the little willie (david ?) and the statue of the woman (venus)with no arms are just two examples.

they are both naked and exhibited in public for all to see and enjoy.

i fail to see how a picture that shows nakedness along with some mild sexuality is any different and i fail to see why some women get so upset and feel violated , demeaned ,and offended by the sight of nakedness and eroticism.what is the big difference between the high art of the venus , and the so called low art of the erotic.

either or both of them may give rise to erotic thoughts , and maybe thats where the problem arises.

please sbk , explain why you think its a joke and where are the lines to be drawn between eroticism , art and pornography.

And if you can't see that photos of nakedness to titillate are different from the David then that is your problem. I didn't censor your stupid photos, I just called them stupid. Last time I looked I have the right to my opinion as well.

And my opinion is that these photos can be found anywhere on the web so what is the need to have them cause potential difficulty by having them on ThaiVisa?

If the Thai authorities pulled the plug on this forum i would be gutted.

There is way too much valauble guidance on here to be putting it at risk, by having content that is widely available elsewhere.

Although amusing, i did wonder at the time if it was appropriate, and feel the decision to remove it is an intelligent one and wholly justified.

When I saw the Venus de Milo I couldn't find it anywhere. But very nice butt.

Actually it was awe inspiring to see it and was truly an emotional experience. Studied art in college and the Venus and the Winged Victory of Somatras (sp) was something I really wanted to see.

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against sex in any of its variations.

I think the "Advert" your reffering to was one of the google links, we have no control over these... Much like Gmail accounts, google scans the page and selects keywords and links them to pay-per-click adverts. To my knowledge these are completey controlled by google and completely outside of our control.

If you have an issue with this, feel free to take it up with Google, I'm sure theres a contact address somewhere on their website.

As for the removal of the picture threads, this is a decision taken by the admins of the site, influenced by concern over dubious content and legal aspects of Thailand. Its a well known fact that this site has visitors from government people, and it wouldnt be difficult for one of them to sign up to the forum and get 500posts and access to Bedlem. Whilst they cant take us offline, they can block us within thailand, cutting off most of the posters here from the site, not to mention sponsers etc.

There is nothing to stop you guys passing these kinds of images amongst yourselves via PM or email, or even taking them to other sites, such as barladies.com. If you feel you simply have to look at these kinds of pictures i'm sure you will figure out some way of accessing them.

As as a final note, Bedlem isnt an unmoderated forum as some of you seem to think, its a loosely moderated forum, where we as moderators try to leave you to your own devices, butting in only when absolutely necessary and totaly unavoidable, otherwise its an open playground.

Even though I posted quite a few of the pics on some of the aforementioned threads, I think getting rid of them was the right decision in the long run.

Nothing stopping people from seeing the same thing and more on other sites and forums. Keeping this site "clean" will make it more enjoyable for the majority of the members who come here for Thailand and Thai related topics, not porn.

Interestingly Google ads will scan the web page to see what kind of

content it has, and then pick out ads that are targeted at that kind of

viewer.

So if they did put in sex ads, its probably due to the dubious Bedlam

threads.

To be honest too much of anything is not a good thing and as of late there was too much of this rubbish being posted. I think all of us like T&A, but we also need to have a little self control.

Doncha know? Boon Mee are old buddies! I have a healthy respect for anyone who can argue their (albeit wrong ) opinions as forcefully and informed as Boon Mee.

And hey, that plastic chicken is kind of neat. Wouldn't buy one, mind you. But interestingly made all the same. It's always amazing to me the weird stuff people will spend their time and energy making.
