Today, we prefer to have a free communication to our families, but since it's free, we do not know that most of the time problems really occure in the middle of the conversation. My friend who is based in Europe now, found cost which is more cheaper than the other with good call quality. Calling from Europe to Thai mobile is very cheap compare to the other.

not sure what you want to tell,

but www.voipdiscoint.com technically offers free VOIP calls to Thailand landline and mobile...for a period of 4 months, with 300 min/week, 10 EUR credit...after the 4 months about 1 cent per min till the credit lasts...that is about another 1000 min, so, lasts a while.

all i know i use this for about 5 yrs now with satisfaction, quality depends though on caller's internet, so, you really need ADSL, or real 3G.

if you have telephones that can connect to the internet via wifi, options such as viber "www.viber.com" and skype allow for free communication over the internet. they require apps to be put on a smart phone, which both parties need. International sims from 7/11 offer very cheap rates, e.g. 1 baht per minute to the continental US and Europe

If you have a sip account and android phone (depending on the version) you have a native sip client built into the phone, no need for other programs. And viber can not be configured it is its own app that only places callas to others with viber.

Thanks for the tip. Been using voipcheap for years (also part of betamax), but voipdiscount is even cheaper! Cheers!

I recently use viber on my phone, and it's hard for me to use it with 3G network. I have Nomado sip account configured to 3cx softphone application on my phone and it works perfect even if the 3G network is too slow. For viber, the most easiest way for me to communicate is through viber SMS, very fast even if 3G is too slow or have 1 bar signal wi-fi :-)
