We´ve selected a hardwood teak floor for our house in Hua Hin. The constructor want´s to seal it by varnishing it. We prefer to have an oil finish. Varnish scratches easily resulting in white ugly scratch marks whereas the oilfinish can just be reoiled.

The problem the constructor does not know where to get teak oil and his staff doesn´t know how to do the job. Well I know how to do it, did it before. But where in Thailand can I buy teak oil (oil specially formulated to seal dense hardwood) ?

Just be aware that a container called Teak Oil sold in Thailand may have little or even no teak oil in it. Check the label carefully if you wish to buy actual teak oil.

thanks, that makes it easy enough to get it , there is a HomePro in Hua Hin. I´ll check it out in 3 weeks once we arrive.
