5 year multiple entry DTV visa (Destination Thailand) from 2024-xx-xx
KL is one of the worst embassies in the region. Avoid, avoid, avoid. They will make up impossible rules on the spot, reject for no reason, force you to go to your own embassy to verify unverifiable things, etc. Just research a little and go to a reasonable embassy. Vientiane, HCMC, Phnom Penh, Manila are all alright. -

Is street food good for you? Old rancid oil. Cheap oil. Food dripping with oil.
Perfect response…. Anyone looking to promote themselves to halfwitted troll of the day - this is now the ‘measuring stick’ !!! -

Kemi Badenoch on Immigration: 'Not All Cultures Are Equal'
Not back home its not , passing through immigration in the UK appears to be optional these days, at least for the chosen few, Their immigration status is pretty much confirmed before they "apply" in fact before they even arrive -

Feel sorry for AN posters who bought electric
Very nice reduction, good chance for new bees with low budget to get rid off their old and stinking ICE's and buy a BEV. Or like me, probably buying a second one. -

Colourful Jellyfish Invade Jomtien Beach: Tourists Advised to Stay Cautious
Is that eatable kind of jelly fish? I often see jelly fish like food sold by some vendors @Chiang Mai Gate Market in the morning. This image from the internet, but looks pretty close to what I sighted. -

Kemi Badenoch on Immigration: 'Not All Cultures Are Equal'
The clue is actually b being in Thailand. Simone who is not in Thailand is neither an immigrant, migrant or tourist. I thought you might be able to work that out. -

Foreign men vandalise Phuket restaurant, shatter windows and flee
I'm pretty sure it was a Brit. They tend to be violent. 🤷🏼♂️ Act of the British mafia trying to take control of that place. -

I Voted Today
You apparently don't understand how the voting process works as your statement is inaccurate. The EC of your state cast their vote for the winner of the popular vote of your state so you voting indirectly for the President and VP. Your statement implies the EC just picks whoever they want to win which isn't correct. Here's some reading material for you. https://www.lwv.org/blog/one-person-one-vote-how-does-electoral-college-work -

Rising Baht Sparks Fears of Another 'Tom Yam Kung' Crisis
Thanks. It appears that since December 2020, Thailand had manipulated its currency. However, they were supposed to manipulate it to be weaker so I guess you are right - unsuccessful manipulation. -

Op is clearly looking to load the response by shoehorning in his bias…. IMO - it’s like fast food, does the job… but not as part of a daily diet. But how many people speaking badly of street food do things like getting on the back of a moto-taxi… … there is potential a lot of hypocrisy in the juxtaposition between the response & people’s daily behavior. -

The EU's Struggle with Identity: A Shift Towards Xenophobia and Ethnic Nationalism?
They won't get power though as all the other parties have said they will not join a coalition with them. So much for the will of the majority. Democracy died already. -

Top Trending EV Cars in Thailand
Thanks. That's some inexpensive transportation. Remember when we bought the ICE version of the MG ZS (2020), and I think we looked at everything, Under ฿700k mark. Nothing was worth the asking prices. Only one that actually interested us, was the Nissan Note, of all things, but new model, and I'm not one to be a guinea pig. Honda Jazz was nice also, but my buddy had nothing nice to say about Honda dealers. Ended up at MG, actually to check out the POS MG3, see if they made improvements, as been out for a few years. Nah, still a POS ... and over in the corner, that ZS. Test drove holy crap, I like it. Back home, researched the hell out of it, went back & bought it, 695k, . mid version at entry version price, as on sale. Only 3 versions back then, and didn't want more electronics or sunroof of the top end version. That turned me off ever buying another JP badged cars made in TH. Owned 2 Vios & Mazda 2, served us well, but never again. Stop me if I told you this before OK, for the newbs, Updated BEV version (2022) came out ~1.5 yrs later, along with 240k 'please buy' govt incentive, so had to place an order. 6 months to research, make sure we want it. No real competition, then BYD hit the market that month or so. Didn't even test drive the ZS EV, as didn't see the the point, since same size, comfy sitting it, so no real difference, all wee bit better than 2020 version. Picked it up 5 months later. Sold the now 2 yr old / 40k kms ICE version. Quite happy with it since, and performance impressive over the ICE version. Hence why us BEV fanboys strongly suggest, take an EV for test, if just curious, or want to prove us wrong. Why the yarn ... this price war is great, and lots of bargains out there, before next years new stock. Seriously if in the market, especially for a knock around town car, you can't go wrong with the BEVs now on offer. Less than 5-6-700k baht for some decent 'new' cars. All having 8 yr battery warranties. Hard to beat, seriously. Much better than the JP badged, made in TH, POSs they are offering for more, that cost more to operate, maintain, and perform poorly. Just my experienced & bias opinion. HAPPYY SHOPPING -

7-Eleven Introduces Convenient PromptPay QR Code Payments Nationwide
Unfortunately there are far too many people who are sheep and will just go along to get along - and also far too many who are just ignorant and foolish. I recall when they changed from paying salaries in cash to bank account lodgements - at first it was optional - and then it was mandatory. The downstream outcome of that has been many actions that the Authorities can now make on your salary - everything from taxes to child support to fines and levies and beyond. If they do remove cash from all transactions. then they will have even more control over people's money - and of course they will say it is for all the good reasons - but over time the authorities will use that ability for things that are not in our best interests. I love Thailand for many reasons - one of them is that here cash is King. -
