Hotels In Udon

Coming to Udon for 3 nights in December,,stayed many times before so know a little of the area,,been looking on Agoda and have narrowed it down to the president or paradise hotel as i like a swimming pool,,both look good and have good and bad reviews,,but not a mention of the pool,,has anyone stayed at either of these hotels or know anyone who has???

Stayed at the Paradise just recently. Disappointed. I booked the small room as that was the only one available on Agoda at the time. Bathroom had barely enough room to move in. Wall plug outlets in the rooms are all 2 prong, so if you have a 3 prong adapter for your laptop, forget it. I found a 3 prong outlet in the lobby to charge my computer. The wifi is horrible. If you are in the main lobby near the receptionist, it's got good connection. In your room, forget it. very poor connection. I finally gave up trying to do anything on my computer in the room. TV - one english channel , ABC from Australia. On the good side, breakfast was good and included, room was good except for wall plugs and bathroom size. I saw the size of the bathrooms in the other larger rooms, and they were decent size. Overall I was disappointed. I little bit more and it has the makings of a good hotel. I'll only stay there again if I can book the larger room through Agoda, and I'll bring a plug to convert my 3 prong to a 2 prong. Oh, and I forgot 1 more item. THey have airport pickup. But they had come and gone when my flight arrived. I had to call and wait at the airport for them to come back for me...................and I was on a domestic flight on time.

I stayed in the Paradise beginning August. agree with everything Rama writes. I booked a deluxe room and was downgraded as none available but after a little persistence was upgraded to a junior suite. Room was excellent and just a 10 metre walk to the pool. The other thing was in August they were still converting some floors in the hotel and the standard rooms were at the top. The lift had not at that time been installed. Maybe they are cashing in because the Centara is closed that's why they opened early. I think has the makings of a good hotel but maybe not there quite yet. Next time will book junior suite.
