heading off from kranuen for a night out myself, i have been to udon and khon kaen loads of times, surin also, i like browsing few bars etc like a beer and good company, where else is good up here ? skaon akon? buriram ? tits are bored off me in this villiage and ive stuck it out for 2 whole weeks so its time for a blow out ;-)

p.s i stumbled upon a lovely lake in kalasin few months back where i took family for picnic and swimming etc, anyone know where in isaan i can take family on day out next week ? also any good decent fishing parks, ive been to a couple but have yet to catch any fkn fish.

I used to live up in Surin, Prasat. The Time Out, Harleys Bar, Ryans Resort, etc, all have a expat drinking community, or at least they used to...The Star Beam, in Surin town too. I hear Ubon Ratch has some interesting places too.

thanks lads, i actually went up to nong kai, it was nice, few little farang bars there at end of the river front, might just head to ubon rach next week for a break.
