Can anyone give advice to me, a lady farang with thai husband. 2 kids, 1 concieved when living there and one on return visit! Obviously relship genuine, have loads of proof, but lacking in finances as been off looking after kids. Worried lack of tax returns and only 1 month of payment slips (part time job as social worker) will mean they discount us? Any advice? :o

to the scouser,

hello mate, sorry, the country we want visa for is uk! Me and my two kids are uk citizens. Just recieved advice from IAS suggesting I should wait til I have 3 months worth of pay slips. I have a sponsor; we dont really want to wait as husband has a job to start in the uk and if we wait then the job will go? any suggestions? :o

Hi Vickie,

The requirement of the immigration rules that you're referring to is the one that stupulates that your husband must be supported without rtecourse to public funds. In assessing this aspect, the visa officer is duty bound not only to look at current income, but likely income too. Consequently, I would suggest that your husband's job offer is very relevant to the application and that he should apply now. Furthermore, you can always submit whatever pay slips you now have and include evidence of your sponsor's ability to help out should the need arise.

Cheers,

Scouse.
