Multiple Thread Posting E-mail Notifications

Featured Replies

I realize that this topic has been raised before, but I'm gonna do it again.

I belong to another non-Thai related forum: Mac OSX Hints which is powered by vBulletin Version 3.5.0.

On that forum if I subscribe to a thread, I get one, an only one notice about new posts to that thread. I won't get another notice until I read the thread. It doesn't matter whether or not I log off the forum or not. Only one notice per thread.

This makes great sense.

However, with Thai Visa if I subscribe to a thread I get a notice for each and every new post to a thread. This can mean dozens of e-mail notifications for a single thread.

I know that logging out is supposed to result in only a single notification, but why should I have to remember to do that?

If vBulletin can handle this simple chore properly, then why can't Invision?

Click on "My Controls" (top of page), then under "Options" (left pane) click on "Email Settings".

Where it says:

Enable 'Email Notification' by default?

If ticked, choose default type:

...select "Delayed Email Notification".

If this is already set, then I don't know what else to suggest.
