Where To Buy Goats In Phuket ?

Does anybody know, where to buy goats here in Phuket? Would like to buy 1 or 2 for my land/garden (have a big plot...)

If driving from Phuket Town along the main Cape Panwa road (going towards the Aquarium), fairly close to where the FIFA Tsnumai Memorial football facility is, there's a track with a small sign saying Goats and Sheep. I believe that they mainly sell the butchered variety, but they'll obviously have access to live ones as well.

It's a Muslim thing in these parts. Forget the south of the island. There are lots of them in surrounding provinces, but in Phuket your best bet is Koh Kaew or further up along the northwest coast. However, if the goal is to get a Flintstones-style lawnmower, you might want to think again...probably more trouble than it's worth. A weed whacker won't eat your roses.

The best sources of goats in Thailand are the three provinces of Yala, Pattani and Narathiwat...They started a "one family one goat" project about five years ago. A safer bet might be Chana district, Songkhla...let us know how it works out, na krap.
