December 12, 201114 yr Would like to request mods to keep this in the Cm forum for a while please, but after replies fizzle could it please be moved to health forum. Thank you. Making an inquiry if any one has recommendations both on doctors/clinics/hospitals as well as options (lasers - what kind?, derma roller?), for lacerations? The scars are only 4 weeks old (scars from lacerations which required stitching. Scars healing well, but healing with fine Atrophic line scarring). According to a bit of research, the jury seems to be out about treating scars early or later for best results. Already know about silicon gel sheets, and scar gels. Would like to know if members have had experience of (or know anyone who has had) scar revision, what the options are, and with whom/where. Thank you.
December 12, 201114 yr Had some moles removed by laser before and they me a topical cream to apply underneath a bandaid, seems like the idea is to keep it moist.
December 12, 201114 yr Author Hi rider, did you do the treatment in CM? Also, what kind of laser, do you know? ..and the follow up cream?
December 12, 201114 yr I had it done in BKK at Bangkok Christian Hospital back then it was around 2000 baht per mole, funny thing is, the anesthetic needle to numb the area hurt more than anything else. They didn't wait long enough for it to take affect and I could feel the laser which felt like a pin prick. Sorry don't know what kind of laser or cream it was. I'm prone to dark scarring, whenever i get a cut or scratch it always turns dark, but with the cream no darkening at all. Sorry i can't help you more.
December 13, 201114 yr Ram 4th floor does it, dermatology clinic, i.e., laser removing moles, keratosis, and other skin cosmetic treatments. Do not know specifically about scars, but it might be worth the 300 or 400 baht for an exam to hear their recommendations to compare with what you learn elsewhere.
December 13, 201114 yr Author Thanks both. Any other recommendations for comparisons would be great. Hoping for a few more!
December 13, 201114 yr Ah, I think I remember now, it was some type of retinoic cream, makes sense because my mother had always told me to use Retin A, to get rid of small wrinkles. (ok you didn't hear that since im a guy)

January 10, 201214 yr Hi Eek, My daughter had bad scaring from acne ,had tried several treatments, like lasers, creams ect, which were expensive and did not really work, but lately she has been getting Rolla Derma ? at Platinum clinic in the Mall where Central is ,and her face has improved a lot. regards Worgeordie
January 10, 201214 yr If the scarring is due to trauma, it make take a period of at least 18mths to 2 years for the scar to settle and the fibrous tissue to be resorbed and re-organised. During this time, application of a commercial cream is appropriate. Lots of products out there but for what may be available locally, a plastic surgeon's advice would be best.
January 12, 201214 yr Author Thanks for moving the topic. Appreciated. Yes, the scarring is due to trauma. Only 2 months in. Ive read varying studies. Most of course say allow the scar to mature over a minimum of 6 months to a year...but in other studies it is suggested that early laser therapy may help improve and heal wounds, lighten the wound, and help fiboblasts. Would be good if anyone has experience of this, or of course, any experience of scar improvement 6 - 12 months down the line. lasers scare the hell out of me because ive read a lot up on it..such as fat loss, pigmentation etc...but still seems to be considered the gold star of scar treatments. Would somethng like microdermabration do nothing? Guess all depends on the scar..? hmm...
