Kawasaki races are at Bonanza on Sunday.

Seems that there will be a group heading out from Real MotorSports on Sunday morning, around 6 am I think

Hi all,

this is my first post on Thai visa, I've never even really lurked here though I've been living in Bangkok now for over 15 years. I ran my NC35 off the track at Maxima months ago and have still not got around to rebuilding it but when I do I'd like to catch up with some of you guys at the track. I'm too old for serious racing but I might have a run around in the 400 class for giggles and I'm more than up for improving my skills for the sake of the exercise. Some of your faces I'm sure I would already know from attending HST and Pirelli track days over the years.

Cheers,

Jimmy

Just as a side note myself and Karlos are going to Paddoack on Sunday at about 11am to get some stuff (back and chest protector etc) so if you want to meet up or get a better deal with the 'power of numbers' then come along :)

Can anyone tell me where I can find out about getting some lessons on the track (Really want to learn to get my knee down and stuff) I have full leathers etc etc. Bira would be the easiest track to get to or anywhere in Bangkok. I am finding it hard to get info so anything from board members would be much appriciated.

Hi newf, do you know a mate of mine by the name of Shane from Indonesia? He was riding his UK bought Honda racebike.

I'm finally popping my track day cherry this month. I'm still overseas but my 999S has been in Bangkok for the last two weeks being prepped & massaged to run & perform well. I looking forward to finding out bow well the bike and me perform off the street. :)

Hi Karlos, more than likely Bonanza, but that may change depending on availibility. :)

I just found out that Kuhn Boyd @ Chicane Performance Moto has finished all the work on my bike, which was a bunch, as I gave him an extensive 'to-do' list. Looking forward to riding my 999S with the new suspension upgrades and other goodies.

Sounds great Garry, I doubt i'll be able to watch you attacking the track this month. But i'm looking forward to seeing the goodies you have installed on the bike :)

Most of the goodies are hidden in suspension components and the engine. Next on the list is an STM Slipper Clutch. I'm still coming to terms with the back torque oft my engine just on the street, let alone the track. So a learning curve to be smooth and reduce the back end skipping around too much ;)

Yes be very careful with the back torque on these bikes. Making the gears shorter by changing sprocket(s) helps.

Going down one tooth in the front sprocket has transformed the bike to a whole new animal. More the reason I need the slipper cluch now :)

Curious what most track riders are using for riding gear? I am sure leathers would be best but its a big investment if you dont continue track riding.

Bonanza Circuit Track Day today 03 Mar 2013. Report just in...

Well, I hear that the track day at Bonanza today is a monster. Supposedly a couple hundred bikes in attendance with around half competing. With that lot, supposedly several SBK1 & SBK 2 riders have shown up for the fun. Hope everyone has a great day out.

Paint me jealous, I can't attend, as I am currently located in another continent .! :D

Hi yankee99. I don't frequent here much and noticed your question. From what I know, the guy doing track days have one or two piece leathers, mostly one piece. You get a lot of high end brands in Bangkok. I had my leather tailor made in Indonesia by AHRS Products. I just found out taht Paddock has a Mini Motor Show sale on, but I can't confrim if it is still on apart from what the website states. Lots of slashed prices. www.paddock.co.th
