Has anyone made an accurate check as to how many kilometers per liter these vehicles get in normal highway driving? When I check I fill the fuel tank drive until near empty and then re-fill the tank. I divide the amount of fuel into the kilometers and come up with my figure. I have often asked friends what kind of economy they get and I get all sorts of answers. It seems no one actually does an accurate check. A friend of mine claims his Toyota gets very good economy because he can drive up country on a tank of fuel. When I ask him how many kilometers and how many liters I get a puzzled look and answers like "I just know".

Isuzu has no doubt improved their engines because years ago I had a new one. That engine idled so rough at stop lights that the fenders shook. I have not had one since. Another friend had a Toyota. It was faster and the engine was VERY smooth.
