Bank Branches At Suvarnabhumi

Featured Replies

Any actual banks operating inside the airport? Friend needs to transfer some cash within Thailand before his departure. Thanks.

Bank

There are now 2 commercial banks on service at the airport which are Thai Military Bank Public Co., Ltd., located at the northern part of international terminal 1, and Bangkok Bank Public Co., Ltd, located on the 2nd floor at the northern part of international terminal 2.

And I think Bank of Ayudhya has a sub branch at the bus terminal.

I Googled the airport and it threw up the airport site stating there were 'bank branches' on the third floor of the Western side of the airport?!

Who knows in this ridiculous bloody country. He'll just have to hope that some airport employee with an IQ at least equivalent to that of a bloody amoeba will be able to point him in the right direction/s.

Thanks for bothering to respond anyway.

Not actually IN the airport in this case but not too far from it is the bus station which has an entire mall with several bank branches...

Money Exchange

Money exchange counters and ATMs are located along the three walls of the Departure Hall (fourth floor) and everywhere throughout the Arrival Hall (second floor), all open 24 hours and provide acceptable rates. You will also find a few on the third floor, at both ends of the hallway. Banks can be found the western end of the Departure Hall (open 24 hours) and the third floor.

Currency Exchange and ATMs

There are three banks in the airport. The Thai Military Bank is located on the ground floor of Central Block, the Bangkok Bank is located on the 2nd floor of Terminal 2 and the Krung Thai Bank is located on the 2nd floor of Terminal 1.

There's information desks around but whether they'll listen properly to understand that he wants a bank facility rather than just a money changer is another thing.

Other alternatives, he transfers the money before he heads to the airport or he gives you the Baht and you transfer to his account from your bank.

Thai Military, Bangkok Bank, and Krung Thai have a monopoly on the airport. They paid a considerable fee for this. They have many ATM's. The money exchange branches offer a very poor rate, so use the ATM, if possible.

Kasikorn=the former Thai farmers, green bank, has an outlet lowest floor=where trains start. And PatPart is again misusing cyberspace by listing what was explicitly NOT asked. The other one has it right: most banks have real ofices/branches at the BUSterm,inal-a short free white shuttlebus ride away.

You seem to have a problem understanding what has been written so I'll make it clear to you.

Below is the information contained in my posts that EXPLICITLY addresses what the OP asked for.

I am pretty sure TMB and SCB retain exclusive rights for financial services at SBIA. (Having said that, I did see a Muslim bank with an exchange booth on the G/-1 floor.)

This map shows the various locations:

Most ATMs allow transfers from any Thai bank account to any other Thai bank account.

It might help if the OP could clarify the question; where exactly do they want to make this transaction (land-side, air-side) and where are the funds originating (cash, Thai Bank, foreign bank).
