INTERIOR MINISTER INSISTS THE TRANSFER OF MAETANG DISTRICT CHIEF IS DUE TO HIS INVOLVEMENT IN MAKING FAKE ID CARDS

Interior Minister KONGSAK WANTHANA (คงศักดิ์ วันทนา) said the transfer order of MAETANG (แม่แตง) District Chief PRASERT INDEE (ประเสริฐ อินดี) is due to his involvement in making fake identification cards for non-Thai citizens.

The Ministry of Interior has set up a team to speedily investigate this master. ACM KONGSAK said it should not consume much time since there is already a sufficient amount of evidence to prove that Mr. PRASERT did infringe the law.

However, impartiality will be given to both parties. The wrongdoer will be severely punished since it has an impact on national stability, and it can lead to other complications as well.

The Interior Minister also said that Mr. PRASERT will be temporarily transferred to the Interior Ministry in order to facilitate the investigation process.
