Does anyone know when this tablet will be available in Thailand? I'll have to do a visa run in 2.5 weeks, so I was thinking of going to Singapore to pick one up there. But if it becomes available in Thailand soon then it's prolly wise to wait out for that and have no issues with warranty.

Has anyone purchased an ASUS Transformer Prime? It would be interesting to hear how it performs and if those who have been able to get one are happy with it.

Thanks h90, in view of the UK experience I think that I shall wait for the TF 700 due to be delivered in May although no doubt it will be later here.

I bought the Transformer Prime T201 32gb wifi model for THB19,900 last weekend at Pantip. I was going to wait for the T700 but suspect that it won't be here in Thailand until Sept / Oct, based on the fact that the T300 was released to the rest of the world on the 22nd April & as at mid Jun, I am told that the T300 is not expected to hit these shores until July/Aug some 3 months after it was released elsewhere. Being impetuous, I couldn't wait any longer. Also when I read that the T700 is being marketed at $899, it will be a hell of a lot more than that, by the time it arrives here loaded with tax. So that's why I jumped in now.

Getting back to the Prime. I don't understand what all the fuss is about. All I can say is, don't believe every negative story you here. Especially from those that know sod all. I usually thoroughly research something before I buy it, and there are enough independent tests done out there that suggest all the hoo ha about the range of wifi is un-founded (when bench marked against other well known brand tablets)

Personally, I love it. It's beautiful to look at, feels great. Does its job admirably. I have no problems with wifi or gps. I live in a two storey concrete house and when in my bedroom upstairs (well away from the the wireless router), I still get adequate wifi reception. Certainly enough to do what I want. Browse & download. I certainly have no regrets. I reckon this gadget is the best thing since sliced bread and is so dam_n whizz bang, in my opinion, it even surpasses the invention of the motor car. It really is that good.

Take the plunge and buy it . You won't regret it.

Does GPS working?

There is one video out, explaining that it is two metals pins that either have a good contact or not. So some have the problem some don't. But I don't have any own experience....just what I read....
