Transfer - Places To Eat, Smoke!

Featured Replies

Hi,

I'm travelling back to Thailand in April. I usually depart the international flight, go through customs get my baggage, have a drink, a smoke and some food and then check-in for my domestic flight. This time, I'm wondering is it easier to go through the transfer - my only worries is is there somewhere "open" to smoke other than the smoking rooms? Ie at Phuket they have the cafe that has the terrace and in the old Don Mueng airport they had the bar that had an outside terrace. Is there anything similar in Swampy? I have 3 hours from landing to the next flight, but wondered if just doing the straight transfer may take some of the stress out of it....

Thanks

There is no place "open" inside the terminal. The smoking rooms are only usable in the international arrivals area (before you go through immigration and customs). The smoking rooms in the domestic departure area no longer are open.

Therefore, if you want to smoke after you arrive you must either do it in the international arrivals smoking rooms before you go through immigration.

Or exit the terminal and do it outside.

There was a smoking room just near where you board Air Asia flights.

Have they closed that?

There are smoking rooms in the domestic part of the terminal at Gates 1A and 2A.
