Just holding hands if out in normal public places in Bangkok, perhaps loosening up slightly in a bar.

Saw two people french kissing (snogging) on the BTS the other day - that kind of thing is definitely out of place.

But worse was at the Loy Kratong celebrations - in the middle of the huge crowd that was migrating towards Khao San Road from the pierside kratong floating ceremony was a farrnag guy (dreads, unkempt look, usual Khao San Road type character) deeply and passionately French kissing his Thai companion for a good 2 minutes or so. Not by the road side either, but right in the middle of the road so people had to walk around this spectacle.
