Need An Colonoscopy In Pattaya, But Have Limtited Funds

Featured Replies

Last year I went to Bumrungrad, and it cost a lot of money though the service was great. But I need this done once a year to check for bowel cancer and its gone over now. Has anyone got any recommendations on where I could have one done, by a decent doctor but not cost me so much money. Telephone numbers and email addresses will be appreciated. Thanks guys in advance.

The Queen Sirikit Hospital in Sathihip (sic) will probably be your best choice. Sorry, but I don't

have lany contact info. Try googling the hospital.

Just to give you an idea of colonoscopy costs outside Bangkok, I had one done for 9,000 baht at Bangkok hospital Korat--biopsy was an additional 3,000 baht more.

Lefty

Agree, Queen Sirikit Naval Hospital. Probably not more than 5,000 baht there as it is a government hospital. But there will be waits and red tape accordingly. Docs speak OK English but not the admin & nursing staff so bring a Thai speaker with you or have someone write down in Thai what you need to show at the reception area. Having a Thai speaker with you is better as they can help you figure out the registration process and forms.

it is in Sattahip and well known so just ask anyone. I don't have phone number and anyhow with govt hospitals you can't do much by phone. Show up on a weekday during regular working hours, preferrably first thing in the morning. You may have to make 2 trips, 1 to see specialist and book the procedure and then again to have it done.
