Credit & Praise Where It'S Due

Featured Replies

I have many times abused TOT for service faults, but I also believe some credit and praise is due when they do something very right.

My internet connection has been up and running without regular fault now for several months. That is seriously unlike the situation I had last year, so credit to TOT for improvements, at least in my area.

Also, I had a slowing of my connection in the past few days. Don't know if it was due to some inclement weather or not, but I did phone their English help line and got immediate and friendly help.

Technicians were out this morning to check the lines, and replaced some small wire in a box on the pole. I have no idea what they were doing, but ...

All up and running very fast now. No more Tai Chi internet!! Downloads at super speed, and full connection.

So, I will complain when something's not working as it should, but sometimes we do owe credit and praise when there is good service and things are working.

So, credit and praise to TOT intheclub.gif

They probably cleaned the bird crap off your line...but the birds will be back. wink.png

Seriously though, when I was with TOT for about 15 months on their 4Mb and 6Mb plans, the plans were reliable...very few down periods which were brief and I could get the full 4Mb/6Mb for in-Thailand websites. But the international speed varied in the 600K to 2Mb ballpark and I couldn't do streaming video worth a durn...too much stop-and-go (in the milliseconds) on the connection and streaming video needs smooth, consistent data flow.

I might have stayed with TOT if it wasn't for 6Mb being the top speed to my moobaan in western Bangkok...TOT kept talking about upgrading their DSLAM bank servicing my area but to this day hasn't. So, mid last year True strung cable TV and cable internet to my moobaan...I switched to their 20Mb/2Mb cable plan...been happy since.

We are all quick to complain, often forget to give credit when due jap.gif

This has been my result for the last few days out in the sticks of Rayong.

Sorry I didn't copy and paste.

Apparently, I can't.

Pretty much is my rural Rayong experience. ToT has sucked here for years. And there is little hope of others coming out here in any near future.

Just used two different speed tests. I'm out in the sticks of Rayong province.

Download Speed: 3645 kbps (455.6 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 187 kbps (23.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 229 ms
