Dermabrasion or laser resurfacing are the only two options that really work if you want no scar at all. The wound will have to heal and scar over before either treatment can be carried out. Don't ask me how I know.

Take vitamin A and use a vitamin E cream. Vitamin A is good for healthy skin and vitamin E helps to minimise scarring.

Cut an Aloe plant and rub the "sap" on your wound. I once saw a man bitten by a dog, he had a BIG puncture mark in the arm (it was his dog!!), he snapped off an Aloe "leaf" and rubbed the gel on his arm. A couple of hours later I inspected the wound (having wanted to disinfect and dress it earlier) and it had nearly closed up. That happened in the Amazon cloud forests in Ecuador. Fast forward a few years and I am seeing EXACTLY the same treatment, here in Thailand.

Since then I have tried it for myself and can confirm that it does do a LOT to help. Put in the fridge first it can be a superb soother and healer for sunburn too.

There is an excellent preparation called "Cicacare" that has been proven to reduce scarring, should be applied as soon as sutures are out and continuously until fully healed. it is rather expensive but worth it. Can get OTC at the more upscale pharmacies, and most hospital pharmacies will also carry it.
