DEPUTY TRT LEADER BELIEVE THAT NO TRT MEMBERS WILL DEFECT

Deputy Thai Rak Thai Leader SUTHAM SANGPRATHUM (สุธรรม แสงประทุม) does not believe that members of WANGNAMYOM and WANGPAYANAK will defect to another party or establish a new party because they have been performing their duties accordingly.

Mr Sutham said that there are a group of people behind the scene to create conflict within the TRT. He sees that the leader of two groups, PHINIJ JARUSOMBAT (พินิจ จารุสมบัติ); the leader of WANGNAMYOM, SOMSAK THEPSUTHIN (สมศักดิ์ เทพสุทิน); the leader of WANPAYANAK, and SURIYA JUNGRUNGREANGKIT (สุริยะ จึงรุ่งเรืองกิจ), have devoted themselves to work for the country following His Majesty the King’s advice. He viewed that members in the party can work in harmony and unity at last.

Government Whip PONGTEP TEPKANJANA (พงศ์เทพ เทพกาญจนา) said that he has not been informed of the details but he commented that a cabinet reshuffle is a common practice. Moreover, he shrugged off the "rumour' regarding conflicts within the TRT party.

Leaders of WANG PAYANAK (พญานาค) faction denied the news on the establishment of a new political party with WANG NAMYOM (วังน้ำยม) faction, and they also insisted that they will remain with the Thai Rak Thai Party until the end.

Mr. EKAPARP POLSUE (เอกภาพ พลซื่อ), the executive board member of the Thai Rak Thai Party, Mr. CHAIYA PROMMA (ไชยา พรหมมา), the member of the House of the Representatives from NONG BUA LAM PHU (หนองบัวลำภู) Province, and Mr. SOMSAK KHUN-NGERN(สมศักดิ์ คุณเงิน ), another member of the House of the Representatives from KHON KAEN (ขอนแก่น) Province have commented on the new political party rumor. They said the discussion on the establishment of a new party between WANG PAYANAK faction leader PINIT CHARUSOMBAT(พินิจ จารุสมบัติ) and WANG NAMYOM faction leader SOMSAK THEPSUTHIN (สมศักดิ์ เทพสุทิน) has never taken place.

They said that such news would imply disunion within the Thai Rak Thai party, and insisted that their groups have merged with the ruling party because they believed in the policies of party leader THAKSIN SHINAWATRA. Further, they would rather end their political professions with the Thai Rak Thai Party.

Let them argue among themselves. As long as Toxin is removed from the office, I'll be happy.

With any luck, The King will step in, take control and nominate a qualify honest individual. If there is such a person.

Personally I would love to see Jaruvan "iron lady" Maintaka nominated as PM. WISHFUL THINKING?

THAI RAK THAI LEADERS INSISTED THE REPORT ON FORMING A NEW PARTY IS UNFOUNDED

Many Thai Rak Thai party leading members insisted that party members have no idea about the new party establishment, adding that certain party may released this news to create confusion.

Labor Minister SOMSAK THEPSUTIN (สมศักดิ์ เทพสุทิน), as Deputy Leader of the Thai Rak Thai party, said that the news on the formation of the new party is released by a third-party because they do not want to see the Thai Rak Thai party’s work go smoothly and want to tarnish the party’s image. He insisted that members have no idea to form a new party, despite his close connection with Mr. SURIYA JUNGRUNGREANGKIT (สุริยะ จึงรุ่งเรืองกิจ).

Culture Minister URAIWAN THIENTHONG (อุไรวรรณ เทียนทอง) said that the report is unfounded, because her faction, the Wang Nam Yen faction, never had a meeting with the other two factions. She said that as a cabinet reshuffle draws near, rumors are usually released to discredit the ruling party.

Deputy Prime Minister SUWAT LIPTAPANLOP (สุวัจน์ ลิปตพัลลภ) said that relations within the party are still strong, adding that all members aim to create a strong political system.

Meanwhile, Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister KHUNYING SUDARAT KEYURAPHAN (สุดารัตน์ เกยุราพันธุ์) said that the report is aimed at creating confusion. As for Prime Minister THAKSIN SHINAWATRA’s invitations for former ministers to come and help the government solve the problems, KHUNYING SUDARAT said that there are a lot of government works that need attention, adding that all invitees are experienced. She insisted that the invitations has no political implications.
