PM ADMITS HE IS HOT-TEMPERED AND NEEDS TO BE WARNED BY CLOSE AIDES

Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra admitted that he is stressed about the current political situation, adding that he knows he is quick-tempered and has always been warned by those closest to him.

Prime Minister Thaksin said that many issues which have been overblown have caused him to stress out, adding that his hot-temperedness is his weakness. He said that he has always been warned by close aides and family members. The premier also said that during the past four years, he feels that his policy on education has not progressed as well as it should have. He also said that social problems, drugs, and ethical issues have created drawbacks for the country, delaying its development. He said he would accelerate the implementation of his policies so that his objectives can be achieved.

As for economic management, the premier said that the private sector has to follow the government’s system as in the past, the private firms used prices as their main factor and did not focus on quality. Prime Minister Thaksin said that such practice causes them to be at disadvantaged position and will lead them to exploit domestic consumers instead.
