Food Flavourings

Featured Replies

Hi,

does anybody know where it is possible to buy the big glass bottles of food flavorings (in Bangkok) often used for cake making etc. eg Pandan, banna, strawberry, coconut, butter milk, vanilla. Usually you find this stuff with the food colourings too. I am looking for the big bottles rather than the small ones so around 100ml to 250ml rather than 38ml.

Thank you

I buy them all the time for fishing purposes. For some reasons my other friends can never seem to find them while i have 2 shops close by. They sell the winner type of flavoring.

For the cheap Thai stuff go to the bakery supply shop on Suk 33/1. If you want the good stuff try Schimdt at Prakanong.

Yes it's just for fishing. Maybe you can PM me the location. Thanks Rob.

I used to buy these in supercheap in Phuket but I never found a place in Bangkok.

Thanks

Thanks for the help theseahorse. I really appreciate it.

I've found these flavorings in the large (473ml/16oz, Durkee brand) bottles at the small local tescos where I live in Suphan in the flour section...must be available at tescos in BKK one would presume...I use the vanilla in the smaller 30ml bottles for banana bread, 'Best Odour' brand...

Hi, The location is Bangyai market to the right of where they sell all the fruits. Other location Bangbuathong market in the street leading to the big Chinese temple on the left hand. Both are shops not market stalls.

Thanks again Rob and Tutsiwarrior.

The tesco in Bang khae didnt have large bottles last time I was there. 473ml would be just the job.
