Have you ever notice that Black Taxi's also don't pay at the exit booth. Parking in that lots is dear, you have to watch the rip off at check out, and we pay so why don't the black taxis???

The new car park, next to the motorbike p[arking, has closed I noticed yesterday. Nobody used it, but I thought it was convenient: close by and free. The signs are still there, but the entrance is closed except for motorbikes. This means I had to park at the 'old' carpark, usual chaos there, so I parked again in the busparking, no problems there.

Black taxi's at the airport are no problem BTW, there are hardly any, would not be accepted by the meter taxi's and limousine services.

I went there yesterday at 2.o pm to pick a freind up from the Airport, and in all the time i have used this airport car park, over 20 years,i have never, ever, seen it so full and congested..

Most of the car park was taken over by..Mini bus,Black taxis, etc etc.there was not one space for a private car to park,i had to keep driving around looking for a free space..in the end i parked on RED lines sat in my car and waited untill my freind called me..in the meantime, the CAR PARK COPS...were travelling round the car park trying to move poeple like mee..TIP..Lets hope they hurry and get started on the Airport and new car parks, etc.

When I go to pick up someone I park alongside the runway & do some plane spotting just prior to the ETA & have them telephone me once they have collected their bags & starting to walk outside. The car park is the normal shambles where vested business interests overrule those of the general public. These days you are lucky if you can get a park at all & even then it is normally in the bus parking area so a fair way to walk if you actually want to go inside to see someone off.

The "new" car park i.e. the grassy field should be set aside for all the transport vehicles which can then be called in only when they are needed (simple communication via marshalls using walkie talkies) & would immediately solve the problem until capacity increases to such an extent that a 2nd & 3ed tier are needed on top of the existing car park. However, this is probably too sensible.

Much too sensible, and they have paid their 'rent' to AOT to use the car park and that is exactly what they will do.

Did I read this correct? Last begining with Black taxi's. Firstly the meter taxi hut is shut with a sign, no taxis. No meter Taxis and only the taxi people inside are gettging fares they have gone up a bit. No Black Taxis at the Airport. Can other ops chime in on thatg one!
