Man, this is a tough one.

Really good wood furniture is not only hard to find, but crazy expensive. I suggest keeping an eye on the classifieds, and picking up a piece at a time, if you are looking for the real deal, and know your wood.

Another possibility is Soi Furniture, near the Kampaeng Phet MRT stop. Taxi drivers will know it, and there is a mix of cheap knock-off stuff, and solid wood (at a price). Again, you will need to know your furniture construction and materials to come out with what you are looking for.

Ladprao Rd. has a few shops, spread out along the stretch between Ratchadapisek and Bangkapi, but I can't point to a specific one.

Real wood of good quality is just becoming extremely rare, and similarly expensive. Hope you find what you are looking fo, and post your findings here.

Good luck.
